1. Payment & Fees

- The hirer is responsible for the equipment from the time of delivery to the time of collection.
- A Damage Waiver Fee is applied to cover normal wear and tear or accidental damage, provided repair costs do not exceed 10% of the item’s rental fee.
- The Damage Waiver does NOT cover:
- Misuse or overloading of equipment.
- Unexplained loss or theft.
- Weather-related damage (rain, storms, extreme heat).
- Unauthorized modifications or attempted repairs.
- If damage or loss occurs beyond what is covered by the Damage Waiver, the hirer must pay the full repair or replacement cost.
3. Cancellation, Refund & Rescheduling Policy
- Deposits are non-refundable.
- Cancellations made more than 7 days before delivery: A refund is issued, minus a $55 administration fee.
- Cancellations made within 7 days of delivery: Only delivery and collection fees are refundable; rental costs are non-refundable.
- Cancellations on the day of delivery or after pickup: No refund is provided.
- Custom-built or special-order items: Non-refundable under any circumstances.
- Rescheduling: The hirer can request to reschedule a booking with at least 24 hours’ notice, subject to availability.
4. Hirer’s Responsibilities
- The hirer assumes full responsibility for the rented equipment from the time of delivery until collection.
- Equipment must be used only for its intended purpose and returned in the same condition it was received.
- The hirer must not move, modify, or repair the equipment without prior written approval.
- If equipment is stolen, the hirer must report the incident to the police and provide a report.
- If multiple individuals rent the equipment under one booking, all parties are equally responsible for any fees or liabilities.
5. Delivery & Collection Policy
- Delivery charges apply and are calculated based on distance, order size, and accessibility.
- Standard delivery covers ground-level drop-off only; additional charges apply for:
- Staircases, elevators, or basement deliveries.
- Difficult-to-access locations.
- The hirer or an authorized representative must be present for delivery and collection.
- A third-party courier is used for deliveries, meaning they do not handle setup or installation unless arranged separately.
- If no one is available at the time of delivery, a redelivery fee will be charged.
6. Equipment Return & Late Fees
- All equipment must be returned on or before the agreed rental period ends.
- Late returns incur a nightly hire charge for each overdue day.
- The hirer is responsible for ensuring equipment is clean and properly packed upon return.
- Missing accessories (cables, adapters, stands, etc.) will be charged at replacement cost.
7. Liability & Indemnity
- Starkwood Celebration Warehouse is not liable for:
- Injuries or accidents resulting from improper use of equipment.
- Property damage caused by equipment malfunction due to misuse.
- Compatibility issues between rented items and third-party equipment.
- The hirer agrees to indemnify Starkwood Celebration Warehouse against any third-party claims related to the equipment.
8. Privacy & Data Protection
- If any rented equipment includes GPS tracking, the hirer consents to its use in accordance with the company’s privacy policy.
- Personal information collected for bookings is not shared with third parties except for payment processing or legal compliance.
